A day in the life… the food diary of a figure competitor

You’ve asked… and I deliver…

Here’s what “feeding time at the zoo” looks like… aka: this is what I eat in a day…

Breakfast

Morning Snack

Lunch

  • 4oz chicken
  • 4oz sweet potato
  • 1 cup vegetable
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds

Afternoon Snack

Dinner

  • 100g tilapia
  • 1 cup vegetable
  • 1 cup another vegetable
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds

Pre-bedtime meal (30 minutes before bed)

  • 1/2 cup egg whites
  • seasonings – I use Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb, Mrs Dash Extra Hot, and sea salt (when I can have salt)
  • 1/2 grapefruit

This past week I dropped the afternoon “snack” to reduce calories for the lead up to my final contest this year.

But, on the whole, this is my day.

  1. tried the flank steak omelette recipe yesterday, it was really good. we went more with a scramble then an omelette but still taste was great, even with the spinach.
    keep those recipes coming!

    • Yeah, it takes some perfecting to keep it in an omelette shape. Glad you liked it. I look forward to eating it every morning – probably more to do with the fact that I always wake up hungry lol
