Today was suppose to be a rest day. But, considering I'm 2 weeks out from the show, I figured it can't hurt to get in a little extra cardio.
I'm really working on bringing my legs in for this show. The hard impact of sprinting on the track will help bring out the muscle separation in my quads, and (hopefully) shock everything from my glutes, hams to calves.
I didn't really have a plan when I got to the track – and I brought Vegas (my dog) along for some fun. Sadly, I forgot to take photos.
What I did was do a few warm-up laps around the track, with my trusty dog by my side – rather, lagging behind after the first lap… he's outta shape!
Then I set up 10 meter distances, to a max 50m. I sprinted to the first 10m, then back to start, to the 20m mark, then back to start, 30m mark, back to start, etc., to 50m and back – all that non-stop.
Shuttle runs, basically.
I did 5 sets of those.
My best time was 48 seconds…. Try to beat me 😉 and let me know your times below…
